Vanessa-Mae photo of the week in 2010

The photo of Vanessa-Mae of the week # 36 was made at her concert in Ludwigsburg last Friday September 3. VMSPOS attended the concert and made a large series of photos, including this particular nice one. Vanessa-Mae was in a wonderful long bright red dress of light floating material, most likely silk. Vanessa-Mae had her hair styled pulled from her face and tied on her back. She was beautifully made up to a smooth flawless complexion, small line of dark shadow on her upper lids, glossy dark red lipstick, and excess of mascara that made her lashes create shadows underneath her eyes. This photo is not part of any gallery of our collection of photos of Vanessa-Mae. More photos of the concert will be presented in the review of the show that we are currently preparing.

For previous photos of Vanessa-Mae of the week, see the table below:

# 35

The photo of Vanessa-Mae of the week # 35 is this fantastic, somewhat mysterious photo shown above. The photo was made after Vanessa-Mae performed I Still Can Hear Your Voice with J.D in a German television show. The video is available at You Tube Vanessa-Mae & J.D: I still can hear your voice. On this photo, Vanessa-Mae is leaning very relaxed against a wall, with a demure and tempting look towards the camera. She wears a spotted sleeveless shirt over a flowery pair of trousers. Learning from her expression, Vanessa-Mae's face is very heavily made up at this occasion - do look at her eyes and glossy lips. This photo is part gallery 8 of our collection of photos of Vanessa-Mae.

# 34

The photo of Vanessa-Mae of the week # 34 shows Vanessa-Mae during her Red Hot Tour concert in the Corn Exchange hall of Cambridge on July 6, 1995. For this concert, Vanessa-Mae had a fine black short dress with white star print design. The Red Hot Tour was Vanessa-Mae's first major tour as leading musician, and she was only 17 years old at that time. This photo is part gallery 2 of our collection of photos of Vanessa-Mae.
# 33

The photo of Vanessa-Mae of the week # 33 was made during her concert in the Royal Festival Hall in London on October 21, of 2004. The concert was scheduled to support the release of her new album Choreography in the UK. The backlight created an electrifying effect and a blue aura around Vanessa-Mae, her instrument and emphasizes the movements of the bow to a fantastic atmosphere in a artistic photo. All in all, we feel that this photo exudes the enchanting effect that Vanessa-Mae has on her audiences at her concerts. This photo is part gallery 1 of our collection of photos of Vanessa-Mae.

# 32

The photo of Vanessa-Mae of the week # 32 was made during the summer of 2001 (between late June and early July) when she acted in a promo tour in the UK club circuit in order to support the release of her new album Subject To Change and its first single Destiny. The short tour turned out to be a great success that attracted considerable attention from the media. No doubt, the compelling composition of the song Destiny combined with Vanessa-Mae's physical presentation, that was especially styled for the occasion, worked extremely well in club circuit venues and for the target-group visitors. On the photo, Vanessa-Mae poses with shortly after a performance that she did. For the tour, and also for a couple of televised appearances as well, Vanessa-Mae used her so-called Destiny outfit of black all-leather that was wrapped around her body like bandages. The stripes on Vanessa-Mae's extremely short mini skirts look spectacular upon her her movements. Vanessa-Mae had her shining black hair a straight free style hanging on her shoulders, and her face, that was made up to a flawless rather pale complexion in order to create a sharp and spectacular contrast with her eyes and brows with heavy black definition, and with the excessively used red glossy lipstick, was the final touch in a really superb presentation. This photo is part gallery 6 of our collection of photos of Vanessa-Mae.

# 31

The photo of Vanessa-Mae of the week # 31 was made in 1997 for the promotion of her album China Girl. Vanessa-Mae did various photo sessions for the China Girl promotion in which she exemplifies a Chinese girl convincingly. This particular photo was made in a London hotel. We have several other photos from this series that will be made available soon. Here, Vanessa-Mae wears a wig and a dramatic midnight blue lace cheongsam from Shanghai Tang. Do notice Vanessa-Mae's perfectly shaped eye brows that have been defined with a black pencil to sharp lines on top of her covering make-up, she also had lots of mascara defining her lashes. This photo is available in gallery 8 of our collection of photos of Vanessa-Mae.

# 30

The photo of Vanessa-Mae of the week # 30 is a nice shot made in 1991 when she toured with The London Mozart Players. Here, Vanessa-Mae was wearing a long concert dress. Apparently at that time, Vanessa-Mae used rather conventional and conservative concert gowns, and she looks a bit old-fashioned here, so much in contradiction with her present appearances that breath the air of a modern fashionable and cosmopolitan young woman. Nevertheless, it is nice to see how she presented herself in those early days of her emerging career. This photo is available in gallery 9 of our collection of photos of Vanessa-Mae.

# 29

The photo of Vanessa-Mae of the week # 29 comes from a series that was made in 2000 to promote the re-release of Vanessa-Mae's early 3 albums - for the fans the so-called Kiddy albums - as The Classical collection part 1 in 2000. This photo, as well as others from the same shooting, were made in a suite in a London Hotel. This particular photo is a portrait of a demure looking Vanessa-Mae facing the camera. The make-up on Vanessa-Mae's face became very noticeable by the incidence of the light - mark the powdered appearance of her pale complexion to which the dark eye liner and brows, that were perfectly shaped with a black pencil, form a sharp contrast. Vanessa-Mae had a nice sleeveless T-shirt with black leather front part and denim back part; a fine necklace was visible under the T-shirt. This photo is available in gallery 8 of our collection of photos of Vanessa-Mae.

# 28

The photo of Vanessa-Mae of the week # 28 was made on March 7 of 2000 in Basel where she was credited for her role in the promotion campaign of the new Ovation model. During the special meeting in Basel, after her performance, Vanessa-Mae received the first model on the new Ovation watch for the Rado company. Vanessa-Mae's daring and fashionable outfit contrasted strikingly with the conservatively dressed Rado representatives. Vanessa-Mae was wearing a blue pair of trousers, a magnificent shine-through pink blouse with wide sleeves of some flowing light fabric, with a top underneath in the same colour pink to hide private parts of her upper body. Vanessa-Mae had  a fine heart pendant on a tiny necklace visible on her chest. Vanessa-Mae's make-up looked fantastic with a perfect complexion of  pale crème, purple shadow above her eyes that were defined with little dark liner and mascara, and lipstick in matching pink to her blouse completed her remarkable and breathtaking presentation. Vanessa-Mae's gorgeous black shining hair started to grow again, here hanging in free style on her back and shoulders. This photo is available in gallery 5 of our collection of photos of Vanessa-Mae.

# 27

The photo of Vanessa-Mae of the week # 27 was made during the period in which she recorded her 3rd album Tchaikovsky & Beethoven violin concertos in October 1991, the month when she celebrated her 13th birthday. Vanessa-Mae posture is, as we know it to be characteristic for her today, straight up in a very relaxed manner. This is a nice photo of Vanessa-Mae dressed in all red with tight pants and sweater, and black short boots. Notice that Vanessa-Mae had her hair in a short style. The long shining hair would become her trademark during the Storm and China Girl periods. This photo is available in gallery 9 of our collection of photos of Vanessa-Mae.

# 26

The photo of Vanessa-Mae of the week # 26 was made in the summer of 1997 or early spring 1998 in front of Kensington Palace in London. Vanessa-Mae looked extremely gorgeous in a Chinese style all silk outfit with red shining suit, jacket and pants, over a bright yellow silk long sleeved blouse with frog buttons upfront. Both the blouse and suit are shining garments and prominently decorated with Chinese figures. In order to effectively counterbalance the highly decorative nature of her clothes, Vanessa-Mae had her face very heavily made up with a flawless covering foundation crème to create an impeccable complexion, smouldering eye definition with brown shadow, lots of black liner and mascara, and with her full lips excessively painted in colour red matching her silk suit. All in all, Vanessa-Mae looked beautiful and delivered an exquisite and balanced presentation here. This fantastic photo is part of a series of 8 that represent the first photos of Vanessa-Mae that we acquired. This particular photo is one of my all time favourite photos of Vanessa-Mae. This photo is not available in any gallery of our collection of photos of Vanessa-Mae yet, but the complete series of 8 will be part of a new gallery soon.

# 25

The photo of Vanessa-Mae of the week # 25 is a shot that was used in the promotion campaign early 2000 for the new Mercedes C class, in which Vanessa-Mae participated. A few photos of Vanessa-Mae were used as illustration in a press kit. Buyers of the new Mercedes C class received a 3 model care box with the cd single The Power Of C,  - aka The art Of War. The Power Of C is Vanessa-Mae's modern rendition of Prokofiev's Dance Of The Knights, that is part of his famous ballet Romeo And Juliet. The piece was initially intended to be part of her upcoming album Subject To Change, but it was not on the final album release. Vanessa-Mae also acted in a special video clip of the song The Power Of C. On this photo, we see Vanessa-Mae depicted as an icon young woman of modern times: beautiful, intelligent, highly skilled, fashionable, and an cosmopolitan aura. Dressed in a spotted black pair of trousers, a daring green spotted top, short hair and her face perfectly made up, Vanessa-Mae breathes everything a modern Mercedes driver would like to have. This photo is available in gallery 12 of our collection of photos of Vanessa-Mae.

# 24

The photo of Vanessa-Mae of the week # 24 was taken on June 29 of 2007 when Vanessa-Mae and her friend Lionel visited the International Polo day in Windsor, UK. Vanessa-Mae was in full regalia, conservatively wearing a highly closed fine silk flowery Chinese style dress with frog buttons upfront, in colours varying from white and blue to purple, her face that was perfectly made up to a smooth complexion with a striking mark of bright red lipstick, hidden behind large dark sunglasses. Here, Vanessa-Mae and Lionel were photographed from a distance in a caring hug from behind. This photo is not available in any gallery of our collection of photos of Vanessa-Mae. However, we possess several photos from this event and we will make these available in a new gallery soon.

# 23

The photo of Vanessa-Mae of the week # 23 is this cute shot that was made when in January of 2001 when she arrived at Heathrow Airport to catch a flight. Vanessa-Mae is very casual in cotton jeans, a T-shirt with Chinese figures, and wearing a wool cap. The close-up photo clearly reveals the absence of any make-up on Vanessa-Mae's face. Notice the necklace with a silver heart pendant that dangles on Vanessa-Mae's chest. This photo is available in gallery 10, that holds more photos of Vanessa-Mae in casual style and virtually without  any make-up, of our collection of photos of Vanessa-Mae.

This photo was made during the second part of the show after the break when she addressed the audience in a short speech. Vanessa-Mae was dressed in a wonderful pair of pant with silver flowery print, and an elegant purple top with one wide sleeve and one open shoulder; her half long black hair was tied to her back to fully expose her face that was heavily made up. # 16

The photo of Vanessa-Mae of the week # 16 comes from the official series of photos that were made for use in the promotion campaign for her new album Subject To Change in the spring of 2001. This photos, as well as many others in the series, was made in the Arizona dessert in the USA. Probable, Vanessa-Mae has a hair extension because she just started to have her hair grow long again after the short hair style she had in 1999 - see and compare also with other photos in this series where the hair is just on her shoulders! Here, Vanessa-Mae was in an elegant long brown dress with flower print design. Also, Vanessa-Mae looks perfectly made up for the shoot, though not too descriptive and omitting bright noticeable colours for shadow and lipstick that were here applied in tones close to the covering foundation on her natural skin. This photo of Vanessa-Mae of the week is available in gallery 8 of collection of photos of Vanessa-Mae.

# 15

The photo of Vanessa-Mae of the week # 15 was made when Vanessa-Mae participated in the Olympic Relay through London with the Olympic flame. Here, the whole team and Vanessa-Mae were in nice white with bright red sporting outfits. Vanessa-Mae obviously used some minor make-up even though the sporting character of the event: look at her light purple lipstick and eye definition with dark liner and black mascara. This photos, as well of other official promotion photos can be found in gallery 8 of our collection of photos of Vanessa-Mae.
# 12

Photo of Vanessa-Mae of the week # 12 is a shot that was made for promotion of her album Subject To Change. This photo was used in the booklet as well as in the glossy Tour For Change brochure. For the promotion photos for her album Subject To Change, Vanessa-Mae used outfits varying from elegant dresses to jeans in combination with a series a fabulous T-shirts. Here, she wears a fine white T-shirt with red butterfly print, an unsymmetrical collar and splits sideways. Moreover, Vanessa-Mae's beautiful black shining hair started to grow again after she had it very short the previous period in 1999-2000. Noticeable, Vanessa-Mae's face wear was lacking the excessive smouldering eye make-up that was always present in her public appearances since 1995. Here for this series of photos, only defining black liner and mascara with some minor shadow non descriptive colours were used for her eyes for accentuation in an overwhelmingly smooth and flawless complexion that was created with full face covering crème. Lipstick was sued in soft red to pink glossy colours and was used excessively to make her mouth look wider, and to create tempting and pouting looks. All in all, Vanessa-Mae looked more gorgeous then ever before, growing into an adult women. This photo of Vanessa-Mae, together with many other promotion photos from various periods in her career, is available in gallery 8 of our collection of photos of Vanessa-Mae.

# 11

Photo of Vanessa-Mae of the week # 11 shows that behind the facade of luxurious designer clothes and the firm and perfect make-up that always covers on her face, Vanessa-Mae really looked exactly like an average schoolgirl when she was 16 years old. Vanessa-Mae was so kind to pose for a fan whose was waiting to catch her after her Red Hot Tour concert in the Guild Hall of Preston on May 27th of 1995, and to sign it for him when he attended a concert of her again a few days afterwards. After a demanding concert, Vanessa-Mae came out of the venue to leave for her hotel being only casually dressed and her face devoid of even the slightest trace of make-up. Being a world wide superstar and celebrity, Vanessa-Mae is used to being perfectly made up in the public eye. A series of unique photos of Vanessa-Mae spotted on occasions when she was virtually without make-up, including this fine one, are available in gallery 10 of our collection of photos of Vanessa-Mae.

# 10

Photo of Vanessa-Mae of the week # 10 was made when she was about 11 years old, around the period that she was recording her 3rd cd with the Tchaikovsky & Beethoven violin concertos. This photo is available in gallery 9 with photos of Vanessa-Mae as a child and at the early stages of her career before she became a world wide superstar with the release of The Violin Player album. This nice photo of a young Vanessa-Mae is available in gallery 8 of our collection of photos of Vanessa-Mae.
# 9

Photo of Vanessa-Mae of the week # 9 comes from a series of photos that was made to promote her first pop album The Violin Player in 1995 and the single Toccata & Fugue that came from it. The series of photos as well as the video clip for Toccata & Fugue were shot on the beaches of Ibiza. Looking at this photo and the video clip, it is hardly imaginable that these caused so much controversy and criticism. In 1995, classical purists and moral sensors argued that putting Vanessa-Mae in these settings was exploiting her sexually for commercial purposes and gain. The question whether this photo and the video clip for Toccata & Fugue being scandalous can be put in a different complexion when we compare them to music videos and photos that are used today for promotion of arrived and adolescent artists. This nice photo of Vanessa-Mae is available in gallery 8 of our collection of photos of Vanessa-Mae.

# 8

Photo of Vanessa-Mae of the week # 8 is one of our own shots that we made at her concert in Westonbirt on July 18 of 2009. An extensive review can be found at the VMSPOS website at Review on Vanessa-Mae live at the Westonbirt Arboretum. More photos can be found in the review, and are also part of gallery1 of our Collection of photos of Vanessa-Mae. At this photo, Vanessa-Mae spreads her right arm to credit the input of the National Symphony Orchestra conducted by Anthony Inglis that accompanied her at the concert.

# 7

Photo of Vanessa-Mae of the week # 7 was made at her concert in Hong Kong at the Convention Centre on September 18 of 2002. Here, Vanessa-Mae was dressed in flower print tight pants, a sleeveless purple top, and she had heavy make-up on, of which the deep red glossy lipstick was markedly present. Daisy, my dear friend from Hong Kong, was a this concert and she described Vanessa-Mae as being gorgeous,  her face heavily made up, and that she liked both costumes Vanessa-Mae used before and after the break. This spectacular photo of Vanessa-Mae  can be found in gallery 6 of our collection of photos of Vanessa-Mae.

# 6

Photo of Vanessa-Mae of the week # 6 shows Vanessa-Mae posing with an Audi TT car when she attended the launch party on May 9 of 2006 organised by Audi to promote their new model. Vanessa-Mae was an invited special guest since she endorses Audi cars as a devoted owner of several models herself. At this event, Vanessa-Mae was rather casual in a faded blue denim jeans and a fantastic suede short jacket with wide cuffs over a bright white T-shirt that left her belly button exposed. Vanessa-Mae had her shining long black hair in free style on her back and shoulders, framing her face that was only soberly made up with minimum coverage and fine definition of her eyes with black line rand mascara, and noticeable bright red lipstick that was used excessively. This photo of Vanessa-Mae is not part of any gallery of our collection of photos of Vanessa-Mae yet. A new gallery with photos of Vanessa-Mae related to Audi will be started soon.

# 5

Photo of Vanessa-Mae of the week # 5 is this cute shot of Vanessa-Mae playing the piano when she was about 4 years old. Vanessa-Mae started to play the piano when she was just 3 years old. After moving to London with her stepfather when she was about 5, she switched to the violin. This photo was probable taken shortly after the families move to London. This photo of Vanessa-Mae is part of gallery 9 of our collection of photos of Vanessa-Mae.
# 4

Photo of Vanessa-Mae of the week # 4 comes from a series that was made to promote Vanessa-Mae's album China Girl end 1997 and early 1998. Here on this photo, Vanessa-Mae is portrayed as a elitist Chinese girl from higher social aristocratic circles. She is dressed in a long beaded silk gown, and she walks on elegant high heeled open shoes. She looks perfectly made to a smooth and flawless complexion with a tinge of of pink to orange blush visible on the cheek bones, a colour also present in the the eye shadow and lipstick, and the eyes noticeable accentuated with black liner and mascara, in a tempting look from below dark lines of perfectly shaped pair of brows. This photo of Vanessa-Mae is part of gallery 8 of our collection of photos of Vanessa-Mae.

# 3

Photo of Vanessa-Mae of the week # 3 was made on October 24 of 2005 when she attended a party organised by Audi in London in the The Saatchi Gallery to celebrate their successes in the UK. Vanessa-Mae appeared casually dressed in blue jeans and a red V-necked T-shirt underneath a white short jacket that looked a bit worn out. Besides the excessively used deep red lipstick and black mascara, Vanessa-Mae was almost without make-up; do mark the ring with large precious stone on the middle finger of her right hand. This photo of Vanessa-Mae is not part of any gallery of our collection of photos of Vanessa-Mae yet.

# 2

Photo of Vanessa-Mae of the week # 2 for 2010 was made in 2004 when she visited the preview for VIP's of the summer exhibition of the Royal Academy of Arts in London on June 6. Obviously, Vanessa-Mae invested time to doll up for this event as she is dressed in a fantastic shining yellow satin summer gown with multi-colour fantasy print. Also, Vanessa-Mae has noticeable set of jewelleries consisting of a necklace with precious stone containing strings and large earrings that are fully exposed because her hair had been pinned up on her back, which also reveals her face that was markedly made up with covering crème, black eye definition with liner and mascara, and excessive glossy red lipstick. With this all, Vanessa-Mae presented herself successfully as a high profile VIP who can't possible be missed by the photographers. This photo of Vanessa-Mae is not part of any gallery of our collection of photos of Vanessa-Mae yet.

# 1

The first photo of Vanessa-Mae of the week for 2010 is this fine portrait that was made at a party to celebrate Chinese Year in 2007 held on February 19. Vanessa-Mae was rather casual then, but the decorative multi coloured Chinese style silk blouse over blue jeans and spike heeled boots looked fabulous on her. Also, Vanessa-Mae did not look too much made up, definitely. This photo of Vanessa-Mae is not part of any gallery of our collection of photos of Vanessa-Mae yet.

Photo of Vanessa-Mae of the year 2009

Throughout 2009, VMSPOS presented a new photo of Vanessa-Mae of the week each weekend. The complete list is given below, and from the list of 52 photos we selected one that touched us specifically. We discovered this fantastic portrait at the website of the Italian press photo agency Contrasto and highlighted it as photo of the week in week 9. This absolutely fantastic portrait was made in a hotel room in Rome during her visit there in November 1997 when she was just 19 years of age, and forms definitely a perfect example of how Vanessa-Mae presented herself in those stages of her career during the era of the Storm and China Girl albums, as a nice girl from upper social circles, dressed in beautiful designer clothes, her face always done with heavy make-up to reinforce the natural beauty of her  finely chiselled feature beyond absolute perfection, and it always looked so great on her as exemplified so well in this picture. Vanessa-Mae's yellow Chinese style silk blouse with frog buttons and decorative embroiders of Chinese figures. is a fabulous piece of garment that suits her extremely well; she used it frequently in this period. A tiny necklace is nicely visible in the opening of the blouse. The natural beauty of Vanessa-Mae's face is effectively reinforced with meticulously and refined use of make-up; meticulous in the sense of Vanessa-Mae's visage being perfectly complexioned, with well defined eyes, lips and brows, and refined in the way that any viewer will immediately notice that she is considerable made up without looking too painted, but that the defined features counterbalance the highly descriptive nature of the yellow silk blouse adequately. This photo is a beautiful portrait of a gorgeous looking young Vanessa-Mae, dressed and made up in a unique, personal, and very fashionable style. This photo of Vanessa-Mae is not part of any gallery of our collection of photos of Vanessa-Mae yet.

Photos of Vanessa-Mae of the week in 2009
# 52

The photo of Vanessa-Mae of the week # 52 will be the last one of this year. Next week, our choice of a photo of the year 2009 from the list below will be presented. This photo of the week shows Vanessa-Mae on May 18 of the year 2004 when she attended the re-launch party for the newly designed Asprey Fashion Store in jewelleries, watches, and accessories, located on Bond Street London. Our Vanessa-Mae caught all eyes from media and other visitors with her sparkling and daring outfit. Look at this fantastic dress she is wearing! A simple garment of netting cotton fibre with sparkling circle figures attached all over, especially on places to protect the private parts of her body: a truly remarkable and unique dress not everybody would dare to wear at such an occasion. Vanessa-Mae's eyes are bright with some definition of black liner and mascara in a pale complexioned visage, and only the excessive bright red lipstick is descriptive in her make-up. This photo of Vanessa-Mae is not part of any gallery of our collection of photos of Vanessa-Mae yet.

# 51

The photo of Vanessa-Mae of the week # 51 was made when she arrived at FHM gala to name the 100 sexiest women the world of the year 2001. The festive gala was held on May 15 of 2001 in a London hotel. Vanessa-Mae was dressed in a blue jeans and a sleeveless shining golden satin top. Vanessa-Mae's black hair was half long hanging in free style on her shoulders, framing her face that was, of course, absolutely perfect with a nice looking make-up. This photo of Vanessa-Mae is not part of any gallery of our collection of photos of Vanessa-Mae yet.

# 50

The photo of Vanessa-Mae of the week # 50 shows Vanessa-Mae at her press conference held in the Tower Of London, early February of 1998 to promote her new album China Girl. At the press conference, Vanessa-Mae looked absolutely stunning, being dressed in a bright red Chinese style cheongsam with frog buttons up front, and with her face perfectly made up to smooth immaculate complexion. This photo of Vanessa-Mae is not part of any gallery of our collection of photos of Vanessa-Mae yet.

# 49

The photo of Vanessa-Mae of the week # 49 was made on November 10 of 2008 when Vanessa-Mae performed at the L'Oreal Legends Gala in New York in order to raise money to benefit The Ovarian Cancer Research Fund (OCRF), a charity that is close to Vanessa-Mae's heart since she lost relatives to this disease. In the end, the charity evening raised funds over US$ 4.3 million. Vanessa-Mae delivered a spectacular performance, appearing on stage in a wonderful strapless long red evening dress. Look that Vanessa-Mae's glossy lipstick, in the same red as the dress, borders in a perfectly sharp line to the very visible foundation crème that she had on as face coverage. Also, Vanessa-Mae had her fingernails painted in the same red as the dress too. This is a very fine and remarkable close-up of Vanessa-Mae at her performance at the L'Oreal Legends Gala where she used her transparent acrylic Ted Brewer violin. This photo of Vanessa-Mae is part of gallery 7 of our collection of photos of Vanessa-Mae.

# 48

The photo of Vanessa-Mae of the week # 48 that we made ourselves at her concert in the Royal Festival Hall of London on October 21 of 2004. The photo shows Vanessa-Mae in upper body profile, in a concentrated pose looking upwards during a pause of her violin part. At the concert, Vanessa-Mae was dressed in blue pair of tight trousers with a silver flower print, and sleeveless shining satin top in shades varying from pink to purple, also used as defining colours in the eye shadow and lipstick, indicating that she was enormously made up. Our review of Vanessa-Mae's Royal Festival Hall concert can be found via the link. The review contains more photos that are also available at gallery 1 of our collection of photos of Vanessa-Mae.

# 47

The photo of Vanessa-Mae of the week # 47 is a nice shoot of her together with Lionel. This one was made on May 28 of 2003 when Vanessa-Mae and Lionel attended the preview for VIP's of the summer exhibition of the Royal Academy of Arts in London. Vanessa-Mae was in an elegant strapless pink dress, a colour which was appropriately present in Lionel's tie. Vanessa-Mae had fine necklace with a precious stone hanging on her chest; the red lipstick formed a striking mark in her smooth complexioned visage and the well defined eyes with liner and mascara viewed with a dreaming look to the camera. This photo not part of any gallery of our collection of photos of Vanessa-Mae yet.

# 46

The photo of Vanessa-Mae of the week # 46 s a portrait made in 1995 or early 1996 of Vanessa-Mae with her acoustic violin in an affectionate pose to her breast. We have no clue about the exact date when, and location where this photo was made. Here, Vanessa-Mae had a fine shining satin silver green dress, and a nice tiny necklace with a precious stone was visible on her chest. In these early days of her professional career, it was customary for Vanessa-Mae to have her face wear styled in a way to make her really look made up instead of preserving the natural looks of the young girl she was then, especially her eyes were never without dark shadow, black mascara and liner, and also lipstick was always prominently visible. This fine photo shows very well the meaning of the concept of her physical presentation. This photo not part of any gallery of our collection of photos of Vanessa-Mae yet.

# 45

The photo of Vanessa-Mae of the week # 45 was made by ourselves at Vanessa-Mae's Tour For Change concert on December 7 of 2001 in Das Neue Tempodrom - do read our review at Vanessa-Mae live in Berlin 2001. At this concert, Vanessa-Mae was dressed in blue jeans with white parts stitched on it, and a white floating blouse with one sleeve draped around her upper body. Vanessa-Mae had used a lot of eye make-up with dark shadow and black mascara and red lipstick to contrast with her rather pale covering complexion. This photo is part of galley 1 of our collection of photos of Vanessa-Mae.

# 44

The photo of Vanessa-Mae of the week # 44 was made during her concert in Prague on September 26 of 2008 in the O2 Arena. The concert was organised to raise money for The Institute for the Care of Mother and Child. Vanessa-Mae showed a smile on her face as she noticed the expressions of appreciation coming from the audience. She was dressed in jeans and a denim blue sleeveless top with a ruffled wide collar. Her face was expressively made up with a smooth complexion of crème, purple lipstick, and eye shadow in the same colour blue as her top. This photo is will be part of galley 7 of our collection of photos of Vanessa-Mae.

# 43

The photo of Vanessa-Mae of the week # 43 is an official EMI photo that was made in the autumn of 1998 to promote Vanessa-Mae's new album The Original Four Seasons. The photo also served as cover for the album and for The Original Four Season Tour brochure. The photo shows Vanessa-Mae in close up in a tempting pose with exposed shoulders, bending her face, that is very heavily made up, side wards to her left shoulder; in doing so, she throws her long shinning black hair in the same direction alongside her stretched shoulder and arm, whirling around her neck. Vanessa-Mae's eyes are closed showing the shadow in grades from dark blue to light purple up from her lids to the brows brows, filling the space fully and from there it gradually fades to her temples above the soft blush that shows on her cheeks in the same pink colour as her lipstick, colours that nicely contrast to light toned complexion of covering foundation crème. Obviously in a symbolic way, the temptation that exhibits from this fine photo not only reflects to Vanessa-Mae as person, but it also holds an invitation to explore the adventurous music that can be listened to on the album. This photo is will be part of our collection of photos of Vanessa-Mae in a new gallery that holds official promotion photos soon.

# 42

The photo of Vanessa-Mae of the week # 42 was made during her Storm on World Tour concert in Munich on June 25 of 1998. Vanessa-Mae was caught by the photographer during the dance part of I Feel Love. This photo is part gallery 4 of our collection of photos of Vanessa-Mae.

# 41

The photo of Vanessa-Mae of the week # 41 was made during the summer of 2001 (between late June and early July) when she acted in a promo tour in the UK club circuit in order to support the release of her new album Subject To Change and its first single Destiny. The short tour turned out to be a great success that attracted considerable attention from the media. No doubt, the compelling composition of the song Destiny combined with Vanessa-Mae's physical presentation, that was especially styled for the occasion, worked extremely well in club circuit venues and for the target-group visitors. On the photo, Vanessa-Mae poses with her transparent acrylic Ted Brewer violin. For the tour, and also for a couple of televised appearances as well, Vanessa-Mae used her so-called Destiny outfit of black all-leather that was wrapped around her body like bandages. The stripes on Vanessa-Mae's extremely short mini skirts look spectacular upon her her movements. Vanessa-Mae had her black hair a straight free style hanging on her shoulders. Vanessa-Mae's face, that was made up to a flawless pale complexion to which the eyes and brows with heavy black definition and the excessive red lipstick contrasted spectacular, was the final touch in a really superb presentation. This photo is part gallery 6 of our collection of photos of Vanessa-Mae.

# 40

The photo of Vanessa-Mae of the week # 40 was made on June 9 of 1995 when Vanessa-Mae arrived at the Rock Circus at on Piccadilly Circus in London to deliver her palm to the wall of hands. # 39

The photo of Vanessa-Mae of the week # 39 was made during one of the 5 concerts that Vanessa-Mae's did in Austria for the Classical Tour. Vanessa-Mae performed in four different cities, being Graz (24), Villach (25 and 26), Salzburg (27) and Linz (28). On this photo, she is engaged in the Carmen Fantasy wearing a short and sexy red dress. Vanessa-Mae's Classical Tour concert at the Berlin Philharmonie on September 4 of 1996 was filmed and is available on video tape and DVD, and during this concert Vanessa-Mae also used the same sexy red dress - see the screen captures used in our Vanessa-Mae live at the Berlin Philharmonie September 4th 1996 - review. This photo, as well as others of this concert, are available in gallery 3 of our collection of photos of Vanessa-Mae.

# 38

The photo of Vanessa-Mae of the week # 38 is a photo that we made ourselves at her recent concert in Westonbirt - see our review on Vanessa-Mae live at the Westonbirt Arboretum. The photo was made during Vanessa-Mae's short electric set when she played 3 pieces on her white Zeta violin. This photo of Vanessa-Mae is one of our best ever; it is focussed and very clear in showing the details of the highly decorated silver designer dress, as well of the hairstyle and the heavy make-up covering her face. This photo, as well as others of this concert, can be found at our review of Vanessa-Mae's concert at the Westonbirt Arboretum. The photos are also available in gallery 1 of our collection of photos of Vanessa-Mae.

# 37

The photo of Vanessa-Mae of the week # 37 is, like the photo of previous week # 36, a nice shot that was made during her concert in Athens that took place on January 27 of 2006 in the Arena Oaka. The photo of last week was made before the break, this one comes from the second part of Vanessa-Mae's concert. After the break, Vanessa-Mae had changed her outfit to jeans and a multi-coloured specked sleeveless cotton vest with a V-neck. Vanessa-Mae's hairstyle was unchanged, as was the heavy make-up that she covered her face - do mark the eye shadow in varying shades of purple, and the fine orange blush on her cheeks. The photo shows Vanessa-Mae in full concentration playing her acoustic Guadagnini violin. This photo, as well as others of this concert, can be found in gallery 7 of our collection of photos of Vanessa-Mae.

# 36

The photo of Vanessa-Mae of the week # 36 shows Vanessa-Mae playing her Guadagnini violin at her concert in Athens that she gave on January 27 of 2006 in the Arena Oaka. This photos was made during the first part of the show, and it exemplifies the importance of Vanessa-Mae physical presentation in her shows for which styling and use with beautiful designer clothes and a lot of perfect make-up are developed to an optimum. Here, Vanessa-Mae wears a wonderful and elegant black silk dress and a purple belt with a large metal clasp around her waist. Vanessa-Mae has her hair in straight free style hanging over her shoulders on her back. Vanessa-Mae's face looks obviously made up to with purple eye shadow, black liner and mascara, pink lipstick and an orange blush a nice finishing touch in her pale and perfectly smooth complexion. This photo, as well as others of this concert, can be found in gallery 7 of our collection of photos of Vanessa-Mae.

# 35

The photo of Vanessa-Mae of the week # 35 shows a beautiful Vanessa-Mae when she arrived at the premiere in London of the Jules Verne movie 'Around The World In 80 Days' on June 22 of 2004. For this occasion, Vanessa-Mae used a light blue fur-like short coat over a nice cotton sweater with round sparkling ornaments attached. Vanessa-Mae had her hair, half long, hanging in straight free style on her shoulders and back, and by lifting her head a bit, exposed the large earrings, showing her face that was nicely covered to an impeachable smooth complexion, in which the excessively used bright red lipstick served as a striking mark, an effect that was reinforced against her strong white teeth.  Judging the blue colour of the coat, we assume that the coat is only fur-like, but we do not know whether Vanessa-Mae renounces fur for animal protective reasons, or whether she feels no objections using fur. This photo is not part of a gallery our collection of photos of Vanessa-Mae yet.

# 34

The photo of Vanessa-Mae of the week # 34 is this cute baby shot that her proud parents made in Singapore when she became 1 year old. Vanessa-Mae would later comment that she looked extremely fat as a baby. This photo is not part of a gallery our collection of photos of Vanessa-Mae yet.

The photo of Vanessa-Mae of the week # 29-31 is this shot of Vanessa-Mae with her mother Pamela Nicholson at their arrival at the 40th birthday party of  Sarah Ferguson that was organised on October 12 of 1999. Vanessa-Mae's one piece cotton dress looks armoured but is in fact daring when noticing her legs shining through and suggesting that she had a light blue pair of briefs. Further more, Vanessa-Mae has short hair and the blue silver definition of shadow and liner of her eyes, looking to the camera from underneath a curly strand of hair, give a roguish expression to her face that looks quite made up. Anyway, Vanessa-Mae's choice for her spicy outfit and the striking make-up rewarded her a lot of attention from the photographers and other guests at the party. This photo is not part of any gallery of our collection of photos of Vanessa-Mae yet.

More photos of this fantastic concert in Hamburg are available in gallery 1 of our collection of photos of Vanessa-Mae, and at our review of Vanessa-Mae in Hamburg.

# 12

The photo of Vanessa-Mae of the week # 12 is this fine portrait of a youthful Vanessa-Mae, aged about 6-7 probable. The violin she holds must be her Hill instrument, as she did only receive her J.B. Guadagnini violin (1761) at the celebration of her 10th birthday. On this photo, Vanessa-Mae is dressed in a frumpish dress with white collar and a bow, her hair coiffed accordingly, clearly lacking all the glamour for which she would become so famous within about the forthcoming decade. Who could have foreseen such a personal and artistic development, when looking at this photo. This photo is not yet available any gallery of our Collection of photos of Vanessa-Mae but is used on our story about Vanessa-Mae's violins for illustration.

# 11

Vanessa-Mae made her surprise performance in order to promote her new album Subject To Change that to be released at that time. Vanessa-Mae played several pieces of the new album, and afterwards she walked among the audience and posed in front of photographers. This nice photo of Vanessa-Mae, holding her new electric transparent acrylic violin was made during the mingling. That particular day was rather rainy, but Vanessa-Mae appeared casually dressed in blue jeans and a sleeveless red T-shirt, showing she was prepared for an artistically hot summer. Vanessa-Mae had her hair growing long again in free style up to her shoulders, and she looked very open an natural with not too much make-up of only red lipstick and minor eye definition with liner and mascara. A short video of Vanessa-Mae at Trafalgar Square is available at the Vanessa-Mae channel on YouTube

# 9

The photo of Vanessa-Mae of the week # 9 is this absolutely fantastic portrait that was made in a hotel room in Rome during her visit there in November 1997. Vanessa-Mae's yellow Chinese style silk blouse with frog buttons and decorative embroiders of Chinese figures. is definitely a fabulous piece of garment that suits her extremely well. A nice tiny necklace is nicely visible in the opening of Vanessa-Mae's blouse. The natural beauty of Vanessa-Mae's finely chiselled face is effectively reinforced with meticulously and refined use of make-up; meticulous in the sense of Vanessa-Mae's visage being perfectly complexioned, with well defined eyes, lips and brows, and refined in the way that any viewer will immediately notice that Vanessa-Mae is considerable made up without looking too painted, but that the her defined features counterbalance the highly descriptive nature of the bright yellow silk blouse adequately. This photo is a beautiful portrait of a gorgeous looking young Vanessa-Mae, dressed and made up in a unique, personal, and very fashionable style.

# 8

The photo f Vanessa-Mae of the week # 7 was made on January 28 of 1998, on Chinese New year, when Vanessa-Mae performed a free open air concert on Leicester Square to highlight the celebrations and to promote the release of her new album China Girl. At the concert, Vanessa-Mae used her crimson coat - see photos on the top line - over a Chinese style short red dress with short sleeves - see photos on the bottom line. Vanessa-Mae had a wig and her face looked, of course, heavily made up: look at Vanessa-Mae's flawless complexion with full covering crème, lipstick in matching red to her long coat, and the eye brows perfectly shaped with a black pencil on top of her foundation base, and her eyes that are defined with small line of dark shadow, mascara and liner. More photos of this event are available in gallery 4 of our Collection of photos of Vanessa-Mae.

# 6

The photo of Vanessa-Mae of the week # 6 shows Vanessa-Mae at her unique and spectacular open air concert on the Trocedero in Paris with the Eiffel Tower on the background. Vanessa-Mae wears an immaculate snow white outfit with ankle-high white boots. Vanessa-Mae virginal white outfit displayed innocence of the 18 year old, but her music was played boldly as by a an adult artist with years of touring experience under her belt. Vanessa-Mae's face was cleverly made up: mark the sultry smouldering eye shadow against a smooth complexion of covering crème that is very visible seen on the photo on the left. More photos of this event can be found in gallery 3 of our Collection of photos of Vanessa-Mae.

# 4

The photo of Vanessa-Mae of the week # 4 is this fabulous and spectacular shot that was made at Vanessa-Mae's electrifying performance at the Rado presentation of their new model Ovation for females, that took place in Basel on March 7, 2000. Vanessa-Mae's performance was part of her role in the promotion of this new model and during the presentation, after she delivered her performance, Vanessa-Mae was given a watch to credit her role in the promotion campaign. In return, Rado watches sponsors Vanessa-Mae's tours and activities. Vanessa-Mae's performance was electrifying and so was her personal and physical presentation. Vanessa-Mae was dressed in a black pants and a daring flimsy pink shine-through blouse over a very small pink top that protected the private parts of her upper body, a fine necklace with a heart pendant was hanging over the blouse. Vanessa-Mae's face was heavily covered with a pale toned foundation crème, she had salmon pink lipstick, a small line of dark eye shadow and a lot of black mascara. Vanessa-Mae acted in the spotlights catching all eyes with her beautiful and fashionable presentation in which the daring outfit and luxuriant make-up distinguished her from the conservatively dressed male representatives of the Swiss company in a unique and spectacular manner.

# 3

The photo of Vanessa-Mae of the week # 3 is a photo that we made ourselves during the signing session that took place after her concert in the Royal Festival Hall on October 21, 2004 - see Royal Festival Hall concert  for our review with more photos. This signing session was an overwhelming experience for us because it marked the first time that we met Vanessa-Mae in person and see her from so close; it was a moment that we had waited for for so many years before it came finally into reality. Vanessa-Mae was very nice and she had a firm handshake. At first she became a bit shy because we handed over some presents for her upcoming 26 birthday in a few days. Vanessa-Mae rewarded this gesture by drawing a heart in our Choreography booklet together with her signature. Vanessa-Mae looked gorgeous wearing a quite simple blue-white cotton short dress and walking on open high heeled brown shoes, and her face was beautifully made up, though considerable less overwhelming than during the concert - probable the signing session started about 30 minutes after the concert in order to allow Vanessa-Mae to change outfit and have her visagist renew her make-up.

The photo of Vanessa-Mae of the week # 2 is this fantastic shot that we made ourselves during her concert in the Royal Festival Hall on October 21, 2004  - see Royal Festival Hall concert  for our review with more photos. Vanessa-Mae brought music from her new album Choreography for the first time live to her fans during that concert. At this concert, Vanessa-Mae was dressed in a satin top in colours pink to red and purple, blue pants with flowered silver print. Vanessa-Mae's face was absolutely perfect, heavily made up with fading shades of pink to purple for her eye make-up and pink lipstick as definition in a flawless and smooth complexion.

# 1 he first photo of Vanessa-Mae of the week is this nice promotion shot that dates from 1996 for the promotion campaign for The Classical Album 1. Vanessa-Mae wears a Chinese style silk cheongsam with long wide sleeves. Her wonderful long black hair is in free style on her back so that her face with heavy make-up is fully exposed - mark especially Vanessa-Mae's smouldering dark eye make-up!
