Vanessa-Mae turned 33 last October 27. She probable celebrated her birthday in a small private party together Lionel and her dogs, and perhaps close friends and some family. Presents from a members of the
Vanessa-Mae Fans Forum (VMF) were delivered to her on the day of her birthday.

Aftermath Chechnya performance:
Celebrities that attended the festive opening of Grozny-city, a glitzy skyscraper complex in the capital of Chechnya were widely and severely criticised for the presence and accepting money from murderous and brutal dictator President Ramzan Kadyrov. Vanessa-Mae underwent her share of the negative attention but remained silent to the comments so far. Only actress Hillary Swank commented that she felt ashamed and would pass her fee to charity. The criticism and comments came from

October 5, 2011, Vanessa-Mae performed in Chechnya, on October 5 at the celebration for the festive opening of a glitzy new skyscraper complex, Grozny-City, in the capital, an event that coincided with the 35th birthday of the controversial Chechen president Kadyrov.
Vanessa-Mae played as invited artist at the opening of Grozny-city, a glitzy skyscraper complex in the capital of Chechnya. Other invited celebrities that attended the celebrations were two-time Oscar winning actor Hilary Swank and action movie star Jean-Claude Van Damme. Shakira, Eva Mendes and Kevin Costner did not reportedly appear at the event, despite the fact that Chechen authorities claimed that they were invited. According to unconfirmed rumours, Vanessa-Mae was said to receive USD 500,000 for her performance.

September 22, 2011, Vanessa-Mae attended the gala opening evening for the new Mandarin Hotel facility in Paris on Thursday, September 22, where she also performed for the distinguished and invited guests.
Last Thursday September 22, the Mandarin Hotel Group opened a new facility in Paris with a group of invited guests that included Vanessa-Mae. Vanessa-Mae attended the gala evening where she also played for the invited guests. A press release issued by the Mandarin Hotel Group on Friday September 23 stated the following:

Mandarin Oriental, Paris celebrated its entry into Paris society yesterday with a glamorous gala attended by more than 500 celebrities, dignitaries and society guests.

Located on rue Saint-Honoré, one of the most fashionable streets in the world, surrounded by haute couture and only a few steps away from the city’s famous attractions, the red carpet event drew a stellar crowd. Celebrities included: Alain Delon; Liam Neeson; Maggie Cheung; Vanessa Mae; Kenzo Takada; Helene Grimaud; Bruno Frisoni; Pierre Gagnaire; Mireille Darc; Patricia Kaas; Frank Leboeuf; Aurélie Dupont and Julie Depardieu to name a few.

Vanessa-Mae was in a knee-length dress of a very thin taupe coloured garment trimmed all over with multi-coloured strings and beads and with small shoulder straps. Do zoom in on her face to notice the details of Vanessa-Mae's heavy make-up that was done with covering gleaming crème, her eyes defined with shadow of brown on the upper lids, dark liner underneath, black mascara on her lashes, pink blush on her cheekbones and richly used glossy pink lipstick completed her vibrant expression. Vanessa-Mae was on open shoes, exposing her toe nails polished in bright red.Vanessa-Mae is a fan of the Mandarin Hotels.

Vanessa-Mae acted in the final episode of  Popstar To Operastar television show broadcasted by  ITV as member of the  panel of critics. Some screen captures of the show are shown below. This show, Vanessa-Mae was in a long bright red designer dress, her face being heavily made up especially the excessive lipstick in matching colour to the dress was a very noticeable mark in her smoothly complexioned  visage.

Friday, July 8, Vanessa-Mae performed a live concert on Cyprus, at the Tsirio Stadium of Limassol.
Vanessa-Mae returned to Cyprus last Friday July 8 for a concert at Tsirio Stadium of Limassol, her first visit since the two concerts she did there during October of 2001. Below are two videos shown in embedded players that were made by visitors of the concert.

The screen captures below show Vanessa-Mae during the 5th show of the he 2011 edition of ITV's Popstar To Operastar. Vanessa-Mae was in a midnight blue dress with her wonderful long shining black hair cascading in free style over her right shoulder. Vanessa-Mae's face was beautifully made up, see especially photo 4 for details of her facewear with the obvious pale blue shadow, black liner, and bright red lipstick as colouring definitions against her smooth and impeccable complexion.

June 26, 2011, Show 4 of Popstar To Operastar was aired by ITV commercial television. Vanessa-Mae again starred as member of the panel of critics, and she performed on UK television for the first time in 7 years.
Last Sundays show of Popstar To Operastar had a major role for Vanessa-Mae. Not only did she eloquently fulfilled her role as member of the panel of critics, she also delivered her  first performance on UK television in 7 years - May 2004 at the Classical Brit Awards!. During her performance at Popstar To Operastar, Vanessa-Mae played Sabre Dance from her most recent album Choreography that also dates from 2004. At this show, Vanessa-Mae had a royal purple satin dress; her face was heavily made up with purple shadow and red glossy lipstick, see the screen captures below. Vanessa-Mae performed a live concert in  at the Amphitheatre in Caesarea, Israel on Sunday June 18.
Vanessa-Mae did a concert last Sunday June 18 in Israel at the Amphitheatre of Caesarea. The concert evoked mixed feeling among the audience. The concert was hampered severely by technical problems that were probable beyond Vanessa-Mae's control. Because of these problems, Vanessa-Mae's violins came through badly for significant numbers of the audience.

June 5, June 12 and June 19,  Vanessa-Mae acted at the panel of critics of Popstar To Operastar.
The past weeks, Vanessa-Mae acted as member of the panel of critics of ITV's television live show Popstar To Operastar. Popstar To Operastar episodes were broadcasted on Sundays June 5, 12 and 19 with an introductory program on Saturday June 4. Upcoming shows will be aired coming Sunday June 26, and on July 3, 10 and 17. So far we can say that Vanessa-Mae's comments and judgements have been strict, her arguing animated, and that her physical appearances can be characterized by wonderful designer dresses and a beautiful looks with a luxuriant make-up in which the excessive use of red lipstick is particularly noticeable - see the screen captures below.

June 4, 2011, Vanessa-Mae acted in he line-up for the panel of critics of this years edition of the ITV show Popstar To Operastar. The .introduction show was aired this evening.
Vanessa-Mae joins the line-up of the panel of critics of this years edition of the ITV show Popstar To Operastar. Popstar To Operastar is a television broadcasted by ITV, one the biggest commercial channels in the UK. In the show, several celebrities from the UK are trained by mentors from the field of opera to become an operastar. A panel with Vanessa-Mae, Katherine Jenkins, Simon Callow and Rolando Villazón comments and judges the performances of the celebrities. Katherine Jenkins and Rolando Villazón also act as mentors. A first introductory show was already last Saturday evening, June 4. The first live show will be broadcasted this evening, Sunday June 5 at 8:00pm local time. The public vote is announced at 10:00pm, as well as the final verdict by the panel. In total, there will be 6 live shows to be broadcasted at consecutive Sundays. Last evening t the introductory show, Vanessa-Mae looked awesome, see the close-up photo below. Vanessa-Mae was dressed in Couture Dress Avril of GBP330, heavily but beautifully made up, with a pink lipstick in an smooth impeachable complexion with shining dark liner and shadow in fading shades of brown as eye definition.

Catticket announced a new concert date for Vanessa-Mae in Limassol, Cyprus, on July 8 of 2011. Apparently the original concert date of May 11 was rescheduled to another date and another venue. Ticket will be priced at Euro 40 and Euro 90 for VIP seats. The sales for the new date will start on May 20.

Comments VMSPOS: We assume that the concert of May 11 did not take place since we were not able to find any information about the show on You Tube or on websites of photo agencies. Reading about the new date, we naturally assume that this concert is a rescheduled show.
