Gallery 5 contains photos of Vanessa-Mae from 1999-2000 during Original Four Seasons concerts and performances. We do not have too many real concert photos from this period and therefore some special performances and appearances are included here.
On March 19 of 1999, Vanessa-Mae paid a visit to a refugee camp in Kenya as goodwill ambassador for the International Red Cross. During her visit, Vanessa-Mae engaged in a special performance for the camp inhabitants, including many children. The photo below shows Vanessa-Mae playing in front of an audience that would normally never be in the position to attend one of her regular shows. The photo is particularly nice since it portrays Vanessa-Mae very casually dressed in a white undershirt and a plain face, virtually without any sign of the make-up she usually wears at concerts and in public.
The photo on the left below were made at Vanessa-Mae's Original Four Seasons Tour in 1999 at her Vienna concert on May 27. At this concert in Vienna, Vanessa-Mae had short hair and looked casual in black pants and a black sleeveless undershirt. These photos were made after the break. Vanessa-Mae posing with her mother in a cute and caring embracement. This disarming portrait of mother and daughter was made on May 27 of 1999 after Vanessa-Mae's Original Four Seasons concert in Vienna. After the demanding concert, Vanessa-Mae was casual in an army green sleeveless undershirt and green cotton trousers. Her face looked natural with only very limited make-up.
On June 3 of 1999, Vanessa-Mae appeared in a special performance in a Nachtcafe in Munchen when visiting Germany for promotional activities. Notice Vanessa-Mae's decorative eye make-up with black liner and mascara, bright blue shadow that fills from her upper lid all the way to her black accentuated brows, and particularly the string of sparkling beads that is incorporated in the face covering foundation crème to which the excess of lipstick so nicely contrasts.
In October of 1999, Vanessa-Mae appeared as guest in the Harold Schmidt show that was televised in Germany by one of the commercial networks. The photos below show Vanessa-Mae performing The Devils Trill of her album The Original Four Seasons, sitting at the table with Harold Schmidt, posing with the German comedian and co-guest on the show Rüdiger Hoffmann, and posing solo. Investigate the close-ups to notice Vanessa-Mae's make-up crème bordering perfectly against her hair line.
